Rural Development Centre in support of Islamic Relief Nepal has implemented the “Responding to the second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic in Nepal” project in Rautahat district. Under the project, emergency medical supplies including medicines, medical supplies and medical equipment have been provided to the targeted hospital. The major aim of the project was to provide emergency medical supplies including medicines, medical supplies and medical equipment in areas of active COVID cases which will enable the affected people and healthcare workers to be treated and protected from infection.

Key Achievement
- The major three COVID-19 hospitals i.e., Gaur, Chandrapur and Paroha were supported with ICU set-2, Patient bed-15, Pulse oximeter-50, N95 mask-500, PPE set-150, Sanitizer-300, Surgical gloves-90, VTM kit-2000, Oxygen concentrator-26, Venturi mask-150, Oxygen cylinder-62 and other necessary items and saved the life of most vulnerable 940 people. These hospitals were strengthened in service delivery and protected work force who are working day and night at frontline.
- Supply of personal protective equipment to 45 frontline workers enabled them to be protected from the infection of COVID-19.
